So... Kanazawa! For the past few weeks I've been in a huge dilemma over this because I was really desperate to go for Yuu's birthday, but I had to miss school, couldn't find a night bus and the trains are too expensive etc. No one could come with me either and I was a bit nervous about travelling so far to a new region all alone.
Then at the last moment I chanced upon a very convenient and affordable day bus... So I risked it all and went for it. I did a lot of planning so in the end things went perfectly well and I managed to find my way around without any trouble at all. Absolutely no regrets, haha.

It was 10 minutes on a bus to the local train station, 30 minutes on a train to Kyoto and 4 hours on the bus to Kanazawa.
Kanazawa itself is a beautiful city -- full of open spaces, the streets and parks all lined with trees. Thankfully it was an amazingly fine day too, according to the guides I've read Kanazawa is supposed to be a very rainy city, but the skies couldn't be any clearer... Anyway, I didn't have a lot of time to explore the whole place so I stayed within the Katamachi/Kohrinbo downtown area, only wandering a bit further to go to
Kenrokuen.
Of course Merry was the highlight of the night... I'm still reeling from it (and starting to ache badly everywhere now lmao) but I promise I will come up with a proper live report for the community soon XD;
